Preparing for Lent & Easter 2008

We are delighted to announce that a special workshop will be presented by the Trocaire Lenten team, for parishes in the Diocese of Limerick this January!

This is a great chance for your parish to make contact with the team, to see and take home all the Trocaire 2008 resources for Lent, and to consider how they might be helpful in your parish. We invite all those involved in social justice, in liturgy, in faith development and in parish life to come along.

• This workshop is open to all, but MUST be pre-booked.

A Lenten reflection

To prepare our hearts for the season of Lent – an Evening of Reflection.

Baptism Preparation

We offer support for both Parish Baptism Preparation Teams (for infant baptism), and for R.C.I.A. groups (for teenagers and adults preparing for Baptism). Our goal is that the candidates and their families feel welcomed into their local faith community.

RCIA Groups (new & existing)

An evening gathering to explore the Lenten liturgies at the heart of RCIA. This workshop is for priests, sponsors, RCIA members, those preparing for Baptism, and those interested in RCIA and their own Baptism.

Bereavement Support

Journeying with our Bereaved

An evening gathering of those who visit the bereaved in their parish. An opportunity to explore how we could develop this important ministry further. Individuals, new & existing groups are more than welcome. Please book in advance.

Music resources for Funerals

At the launch of the diocesan guidelines for music for funerals; several parishes and musicians requested more resources be made available. This workshop, organized by the Diocesan Liturgy Commission, is a response to that request. All are welcome.

• Cost: €20 per person (includes photocopying & resource booklet)
• Booking is absolutely essential for all attendees.

Rainbows

Rainbows is a peer-support program for children or teenagers who are experiencing life-altering loss (bereavement, parental separation etc). It is not counselling or therapy, but an opportunity for children or teenagers to work through the normal process of grief. We are committed to training and supporting local Rainbows groups across the county and city.
