Parish Pastoral Development: Developing pastoral ministry and leadership, in parish
God, however, does not make people holy and save them merely as individuals, without bond or link between one another. Rather it has pleased God to bring people together as one people. Lumen Gentium (9)

R.C.I.A.
‘I wish to be a full member of my parish’
The Rite of Christian Initiation of adults (RCIA) is a gentle process for teenagers and adults who wish to become full members of the Catholic Church.
Its emphasis is on welcome and support.
The Pastoral Centre does not run courses in RCIA. However we do provide training and support for parish R.C.I.A. groups, where invited. Please contact Noirin for details.
Ministry to the bereaved
Supporting Bereaved Families in our parish
A number of pastoral areas and parishes have asked for support in the area of ministry to the bereaved, including helping families prepare for the funeral liturgy.
In response to this we have developed a four night program which we will be offering this Spring. We would be happy to repeat it across the county if requested. A diocesan certificate will be available on full completion of training. Only twenty places will be available, so early booking is essential.

Workshop for Parish pastoral councils.
Based on the work of Br Loughlan Sofield
A number of parishes have expressed regret at having not been able to participate in the Autumn workshop with Br Loughlan. Therefore we have prepared a workshop based on his input. It can be offered on request, over two evenings or one Saturday. Contact Noirin or Fr Noel at the Pastoral Centre to discuss further. (061 400133)
Parish Pastoral councils
Training and support for all Parish Pastoral Councils is available on request. Specific workshops and annual reviews enable PPCs to learn and grow. These can be tailored to suit the time and needs of each parish. Contact Noirin and Fr Noel at the Pastoral Centre to discuss this further (061 400133)
